TRL

Natural cellulose fiber originating from upcycling unwanted crop waste.

An inclusive material with a wholly circular life cycle.

It undergoes their sustainable AltMat proprietary processes and, unlike cotton, it doesn't gulp and eat up thousands of liters of water per just one measly kilogram - above all a shy, off the cuff material asking for little - yet giving a lot back to the environment.

Production process

No hazardous chemicals used in their processes, all the water is filtered with minimal blue water waste present.

Crops grown for food or other non-textile purposes leave out stems and leaves which further get deducted for upcycling and become a wholly natural fiber through their sustainable proprietary technologies and processes.

Altag fibers are then spun into blended yarns by value chain partners, which can further be made into different kinds of knitted or woven fabrics.

production time

In-house technology and manufacturing. Industrial-scale production capacities.

Value chains and brand partners come into play after the initial manufacturing stages.

"We primarily sell yarns of different counts and blends. We are working on our fabric supply chains and will be able to provide assistance on a case to case basis for higher quantities.

In the case of fibres for textiles, we prefer selling yarns. We work with a closed group of spinners and look forward to keep building our closed consortium. Please write to us if that would be of interest. In the case of other applications of fibres like packaging or non-wovens, we supply specific grades."
